I also welded some sheet metal over the antenna and had them do the same to that. The body shop recommended fiberglassing over both spots instead of bondoing. They guaranteed, and even gave me a 5 year warrantee on the job. It's been one year and still looks as good as day one. This is also my daily driver, so it gets some decent street miles.
